It’s been a while since we last posted something about Sardegna. Tonight, on a rain drenched Belgian evening, it feels like the perfect moment to talk about it’s beaches.
Since Sardegna is an island, ofcourse you are bound to hit one beach or another travelling through it. Some might even spend their entire holiday on a beach, and although that is not entirely our cup of tea, we can recommend Sardegna if you are that type of traveller. But even for people who, like us, just like a bit of sand & sea every now and then, Sardegna has got what you need. There is a type of beach for everybody: sandy, rocky, with stones, very isolated or busy, busy with loads of people and beach bars at your disposal. They’ve all got one thing in common: cristal clear waters.
Here are the beaches we lingered on during our 3 weeks on the island last summer.

It was the only beach we found that had waves. Febe loved it!

For those who like swimming with a view, and a slightly more difficult entry to the water… Arbatax!
White sand, blue water and a lot of flamingo’s nearby – Baia de Chia.
A very quiet beach at Lu Bagnu, close to our holiday home in Nulvi. Only accesable by a lot of stairs!
Swimming with a view at Isola Rossa. Slight disadvantage with kids: very deep very quick!
But look at how clear this sea is… fish swimming at your feet!

The famous beach of Stintino, overlooking the Isola Asinara. A little too busy for us…
Instead, we chose Le Saline, just south of Stintino. Same blue water, less people 🙂
Ideal for kids this beach has a very long, undeep section. They can ‘swim’ all by themselves!
The white stones might prove difficult for some, but we all loved it!
And they sold icecream!
This happy face was all we needed for our last day on the island… Perfect!
